Melissa Gile
My name is Melissa Gile, and I am a self-taught acrylic artist and expat based out of Hamburg, Germany. I started drawing at the age of two and largely think of visual expression as my first language, using my work as a means to express the connections I feel as I navigate this earth. My current work is inspired by the concept of "oneness" – in which I explore, befriend and find sanctuary in the interwoven relationship between feminine spirits, bodies and nature.

D’inst’inct
no, the days are not blee/nding into each other
the green arrived on time on those trees’ buds
of wannabe and willbe leaves
yesterday
we saw that solitary young goose
looking for another
this past Saturday
then the next day
the sky was so blue
it shimmered
the quiet squirrel discovered a comfortable branch
today
it’s not that the branch was too covered
but I know when it will be
and for how long
I bribed the sparrows with breadcrumbs
two Mondays ago
they claimed it was the wind that took them
in the breadcrumb heist of April

I yellowlways love
spring
Daffodil - messenger
Dandelion - invasion
Distraction - raincoat
Dissonance - earthy palette
Diluvial - pretext
Divergence - temporal

Henni Pfeiffer
Medium: Gouache on Paper
Size: 21 x 31 cm
Name: Self-Care Series (Soft Skin, Feel Good, Smells Good)
My intention for these paintings is multifaceted. Our life has been very much reduced to our "home." And I have experienced how quickly you can forget yourself if you only pay attention to what is happening in the world. The bright colors of the gouache combined with ordinary everyday objects helped me to remember that you have to put yourself first if you want to serve others. That's why I named it simply "self-care series."
And to be honest, it was much fun to create these colorful paintings.
In May I plan to have an exclusive presale for these paintings.
