GoodFences

I don’t know what I want
or how to feel/name the world for me
sort through my memories/tell me
which ones to hold
and which ones to let fly/my time
is as amorphous as space/draw lines
and set up fences/talk over my thoughts
cobble my skittish imagination with good fences/blast your songs
through the rooms/explain my self
to me/put the keys to my car in your pocket/so I don’t let
my broken thinking carry me away from you/
load your tools into your truck
before the sun starts her day/tell me
I won’t find
anyone better.

Anna Stark

Anna is an emerging, self-taught artist based in the Twin Cities. She is a proud alumna of Perpich Center for Arts Education where she studied film and photography. She went on to graduate from Columbia College Chicago where she studied writing, drawing and marketing.

Anna is an oil painter that uses only non-toxic and solvent-free materials in order to paint indoors during long Minnesota winters.  When she's not at her easel, she's homeschooling her two children (4 and 7).  Her subjects are usually items she picks up from the grocery store and later consumed by her family.
